Actress Zhu Ji Qian Announces Her Retirement From the Entertainment Industry at 25

Actress Zhu Jia Qian (25) publicly announced the termination of her agency contract and wrote a post stating her intention to retire from the entertainment industry, garnering much attention.

On March 17, Zhu revealed through Weibo that her contract with her agency had ended.  She said she would keep acting as a hobby and announced his retirement from the entertainment industry.

After careful deliberation, Zhu announced, “I’ve ended my agency contract.” She expressed uncertainty about her acting future, stating, “While I haven’t ruled it out entirely, acting might become more of a personal pursuit if I continue.” Zhu elaborated on the influence of Buddhism on his decision, revealing, “I’ve long been drawn to Buddhist teachings. Since graduating, I’ve noticed a shift in my priorities. Finding meaning inwards, rather than externally, has become my central focus.”

Zhu expressed a desire for freedom, stating, “I don’t want to feel restricted. I want to live life on my terms.” Looking ahead, he revealed exciting possibilities for his future, including “exploring opportunities in advertising or even art education. There’s a whole world of possibilities out there,” Zhu shared enthusiastically.

Embracing the uncertainty, Zhu declared, “The future may be unwritten, but I approach it with courage. After all, life is an ongoing adventure, and only those who embrace the unknown can truly experience all it has to offer.” She concluded the post with a message of resilience, stating, “There are no regrets. The world is my stage, and my pursuit of happiness continues regardless of my chosen path.”

Following Zhu’s surprise retirement announcement, comments poured in, like “While it’s a shame considering her short time in the industry, we wish her all the best” and “This news comes suddenly. We hope everything is alright with her.” Others offered messages of support, stating, “She seems thoughtful, and we hope he finds happiness” and “Sending her our support in her future endeavors.”

Zhu debuted in the movie Special Forces Return 4 in 2021. Last year, she received much love for her starring role in the drama Love At Second Sight.
