Supercar fires aren’t as rare as you might think. They can be caused by various issues, such as fuel leaks or overheating, but the majority are spontaneous fires in the engine compartment of a perfectly functioning supercar. There may be instances when someone intentionally fires a car due to personal grievances.

Recently, an incident in India where a used car dealer set fire to a supercar has been the talk of the town. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the loss of a precious supercar has led to expressions of regret.

The fire entirely consumed the Lamborghini Gallardo

A video of a yellow supercar engulfed in flames was recently posted on social media platform X. The vehicle in question was a Lamborghini Gallardo, and the fire had already spread too far to be extinguished. As they passed, other motorcycles and cars kept their distance, and bystanders watched from afar.

According to the local media, The Times of India, the incident occurred on the 13th (local time) in Fahadi Sharif, on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Before the fire, the car’s owner, a used car dealer named Neeraj, had a dispute with another used car dealer, Ahmed.

The dispute between the two used car dealers escalated to arson in the heat of the moment

A police officer interviewed by the media said the two were conflicted over the division of used car sales commissions. The exact details are still unknown, but the two used car dealers failed to agree despite ongoing negotiations. In the end, it was reported that a furious Ahmed set fire to Neeraj’s Lamborghini.

When the fire truck arrived, the car had already burned beyond repair. Ahmed has been charged with arson but has not yet been arrested, according to local media. If convicted, he could face up to seven years in prison and fines under local law.
