Three Top-End Sedans Equipped With V6 Engines

Recently, as vehicles have been launched as hybrid or electric models, it has become increasingly difficult to see vehicles equipped with a V6 engine. The V6 engine has several advantages over other engines, and the exhaust sound is more unique and better than the V4 engine.

Additionally, V6 engines can be combined with turbochargers and superchargers to provide the same power and torque figures as V8 or larger engines without consuming expensive fuel. Here, some vehicles are still released with V6 engines.

Genesis mid-size sports sedan G70

First is the Genesis mid-sized sports sedan G70. The vehicle is equipped with a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharger Lambda II T-GDI V6 and produces 365 horsepower and a torque of 51kgf.m. This power is transmitted to the rear or four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission, and it takes about 4.5 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h ( 62 mph ).

The G70 is also famous for its luxurious interior. The driver-centered, ergonomically designed interior is sufficient to satisfy consumers. In addition, there is a tray on the front of the interior center console for good storage capacity, and the trunk is large enough to fit five suitcases. It is equipped with a touch-type temperature control function and a frameless rearview mirror and provides convenient features, including a multi-function switch and a USB-C-type charging port in the rear seat.

Toyota’s Camry TRD with 3.5L V6 engine

Toyota Racing Development tuned the best-selling sedan Camry to be more agile, resulting in the 2024 Camry TRD. Equipped with the same 3.5-liter engine as Camry’s high-spec XSE model, the Camry TRD adds an upgraded catback dual exhaust system to make the V6 engine sound more aggressive. The Camry TRD produces 301 horsepower and 36kgf.m of torque and provides TRD-specific features such as TRD-specific suspension and chassis settings and a rear spoiler.

The Camry TRD has a thicker lower body brace and stiffer springs than the regular Camry model. Additionally, uniquely tuned shock absorbers are installed. The 19-inch wheels feature less rotating mass and a wider track. Above all, its smooth handling and grip boast stability comparable to a supercar.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio

Alfa Romeo’s Giulia Quadrifoglio has a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine designed by Ferrari. In the case of a vehicle, it generates an output of 505 horsepower and a torque of 61kgf.m and can reach 100 km/h ( 62 mph ) in about 3.8 seconds. Since Alfa Romeo has announced that it will electrify all of the brand’s vehicles, the Giulia Quadrifoglio, launched in 2024, will be the last Alfa Romeo model equipped with a six-cylinder engine.

As for the Giulia Quadrifoglio, it has new LED headlamps and tail lamps and boasts various features such as dashboard navigation, blind spot monitoring, heated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, and leather upholstery. As for all models, it is equipped with gold-painted brake calipers, unique wheels, carbon fiber grille, and mirror caps, and gold stitching on the seats and dashboard.
