The Audi brand became a hot topic when it unveiled the new A3 sedan and Sportback, which returned for the 2024 model. The facelifted A3 has various standard features, including LED headlights, electric sports seats, and a 10.1-inch touch infotainment system.

In addition, Audi announced that it plans to provide several functions to the A3 on demand, such as adaptive cruise control, high beam assist, and two-zone air conditioning. Meanwhile, the facelifted A3 is expected to compete with compact sedans such as the Mercedes-Benz CLA Class and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe.

The facelifted A3 will offer two powertrains: 35 TFSI 1.5-liter mild hybrid gasoline and 35 TDI 2.0-liter diesel. Both powertrains are said to produce the same 148 horsepower. A model equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain is scheduled to be released at the end of this year. The Audi A3 shares the same platform as vehicles such as the Volkswagen Golf and Skoda Octavia and was reborn as a 2024 model with a modernized interior and new lighting.

The exterior design has been changed to look more dynamic than the previous model. On the front of the A3 was a wider hexagonal grille, and the ring symbolizing Audi protruded rather than being integrated into the center part. At the rear of the A3 is a new bumper and diffuser unit inspired by the RS2 Avant.

Lighting graphics change depending on the situation

For daytime running lights, four signature lights can be switched to allow users to personalize the exterior of their vehicle. In the case of signature lighting, it is said that unique graphics are suited to the situation, such as when the vehicle is locked or unlocked. The A3’s interior has been improved by focusing on providing more standard features and adding digital technology.

All trim levels of the A3 are equipped with Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster and three-spoke steering wheel. Additionally, the newly designed center console comes with an armrest as standard and is said to be equipped with a smaller gear selector for the automatic transmission.

The air vent design inside the vehicle has also been improved. The standard interior lighting, including backlit doors and contour lighting for the center console and cup holders, has also been revised to be more luxurious. In addition, a new optional stereo system replacing the B&O system is said to be available.

The facelifted A3’s 10.1-inch central display is equipped with Audi’s new infotainment system. Both the Sportback and sedan models of the A3 are currently available for order. The Sportback starts at approximately $40.000, and the sedan is priced at approximately $40,655, slightly higher than the Sportback model.
