Don’t Toss That Expired Sunscreen: 5 Clever Hacks to Get More!

butterpopcorn Views

Don’t compromise on your skin.
This is how you should use it!

Sunscreen is a must in the summer, but after summer, it becomes a hassle to apply, leading to many of us hoarding expired sunscreens. I know it’s best to apply it all year round, even when the sun isn’t harsh, but why is it so bothersome…

Are there any of you who, like me, have expired sunscreen at home? If you’re afraid that using this sunscreen might harm your skin but can’t bear throwing it away, today’s life hack is for you!

Let’s use our expired sunscreen! gogo

1. Permanent Marker Removal

Did you accidentally write with a permanent marker?! Permanent markers are hard to erase. Did you know that you can scrub it off with this sunscreen?

Spread sunscreen over the writing, let it sit for about 10 minutes, and then wipe it off. You’ll see the permanent marker erased by the sunscreen. It’s a great tip, especially if you don’t have a remover at home since we all have at least one sunscreen!

2. Cleaning Stained Mirrors

Ladies, after applying makeup, have you often noticed many fingerprints left on your hand mirror? Even tissues won’t clean it properly.

At times like these, if you use sunscreen to wipe it off, it will clean much better. Don’t just throw away your almost discarded sunscreen. Let’s put it to use for one more small task. It’s even better since we were going to throw it away anyway.

3. Scissor Cleaning

Have you ever found it difficult to use scissors because they are rusty or sticky? I remember when I was young, they would become sticky after cutting glue with scissors, and it was very inconvenient to use them afterward.

If you have such scissors at home, apply sunscreen on the scissors or put some on a tissue and wipe them off. They will be cleaned neatly. Even rusty scissors can be cleaned!

4. Faucet Cleaning

The faucet is where water splashes the most, which often leaves stains. If you feel like it’s not getting clean enough with water, try using sunscreen.

Sunscreen has a lot of oil, effectively removing the oily dirt on the faucet. Apply sunscreen and wipe it off with a towel. Not only will you hear a squeaky clean sound, but you’ll also feel like you’ve got a brand-new faucet.

5. Cleaning Shoe Soles

If you don’t have time to wash your shoes and the soles are too dirty, try using sunscreen quickly. It surprisingly saves time, and the effect is noticeable as the soles become cleaner. I occasionally use this method, and it’s surprisingly good.

The method is simple! Apply sunscreen and rub it gently? No, rub it hard, and you’ll see it get clean quickly. I have some dirty shoes that I need to clean today.

Everyone, it’s best not to apply expired sunscreen to your skin. Even though it’s a waste, buying a new one and recycling the old one like I showed you today, how about that?! No matter how much waste it is, let’s protect our skin!
