The reason for the vehicle battery damage was flooding due to rainwater. The infamous Tesla gap was the cause.
He left his vehicle for repair when it would not start and received a call from Tesla saying ‘the battery was damaged due to flooding.’ The problem started from here. Along with the fact that battery flooding is not included in the 8-year warranty, he was asked by Tesla ‘whether to proceed with vehicle repair for about $24,000.
Unimaginable repair cost and fatal battery replacement cost
