A documentary encapsulating BTS’s 10-year journey, a world-renowned band, is scheduled for release.
On the 21st, Disney Plus Korea uploaded a video titled BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star. Despite being a brief 30-second clip, it garnered significant attention due to the full-member interviews featuring RM, Jimin, V, Jung Look, and the military-enlisted Jin, Suga, and J-Hope.
BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star is a Disney Plus original documentary that captures the seven members’ daily lives and inner thoughts as they navigate their 10-year journey to uncharted territories in pursuit of life’s meaning and goals. It paints a picture of the decade-long history of BTS, regarded as 21st-century pop icons, and the stories beyond.
The members’ poignant remarks stir curiosity about the situations they describe. Disney Plus will exclusively offer the documentary from December 20th, releasing two episodes every Wednesday for eight episodes.
Meanwhile, on December 2nd, Bang Si Hyuk, BTS’s producer, appeared on tvN’s You Quiz On The Block and revealed that he debuted BTS while in debt of 10 billion won (about US$8 million). However, he built HYBE, a major entertainment company, through consecutive successes with the members. His estimated wealth by Forbes is around US$2.9 billion.
Including the members who have enlisted in the military, BTS has signed their second complete contract renewal with HYBE and is expected to return as a whole group in 2025.
