A report has emerged that there may be additional devices containing illegal sex tapes by Hwang Ui-jo, who plays for Norwich City.

On the 26th, according to an exclusive report by Chosun Ilbo, police seized multiple cell phones and laptops used by Hwang Ui-jo in mid-November. Police took these to verify videos suspected of being illegally filmed by Hwang.
The media outlet explained that the videos in question differed from those previously circulated on social media. Suspects, including Hwang Ui-jo’s sister-in-law, who initially spread the videos, had reset these devices.
In response, the police mentioned that they were in the process of recovering the videos through digital forensics. They also explained their investigation involved securing as many devices as possible.
The media reported that if the videos are recovered, there could be additional victims. The police are known to have investigated another victim, referred to as B, separate from the known victim A.
The lawyer for victim A held a press conference on the 23rd, stating, “I received a call from someone who claimed to be another victim and wanted to talk about this. We even set up a consultation appointment.” However, after Hwang Ui-jo’s statement revealing the victim’s identity was reported, this person abruptly canceled the consultation.
Background of Hwang Ui-jo’s Privacy Controversy
Meanwhile, Hwang Ui-jo recently became controversial as the police investigated him as a suspect for illegal filming. The incident occurred in June when a woman, claiming to be Hwang Ui-jo’s ex-girlfriend, spread photos and videos from Hwang’s phone on social media.
The revelation that this person was Hwang Ui-jo’s sister-in-law later caused a stir. Additionally, a man called C threatened to spread Hwang Ui-jo’s private videos on social media and committed a copycat crime. The police also arrested him.
Amid these controversies, Hwang Ui-jo started in a match against Queens Park Rangers in the 17th round of the English Championship (second-tier league) for the 23-24 season, held at Carrow Road in Norwich, England, on the same day.
Hwang Ui-jo scored the opening goal in that match, his second of the season, leading his team to victory.
