‘Parasite’ Actor Lee Sun Kyun Found Dead After Accused of Drug Use

TV Report Views

Actor Lee Sun-kyun who was under investigation for alleged drug use was found dead.

According to a report by Money Today on the 27th Lee Sun-kyun was found dead near Waryong Park in Jongno-gu Seoul.

The police are currently assuming that he committed suicide and plan to investigate the exact cause of death.

Lee Sun-kyun was accused of using various drugs including marijuana at the Seoul home of a nightclub owner (identified as Mr. A) earlier this year. After the report of the drug use suspicion came out. Lee Sun-kyun claimed that he was “blackmailed and got ripped off hundreds of millions of won” in relation to the drug case and sued Mr. A for extortion.

Lee Sun-kyun has consistently denied the allegations in three police investigations so far. He claimed that Mr. A deceived him and gave him drugs stating that “I didn’t know it was a drug”.

Lee Sun-kyun’s side admitted to four out of five meetings that Mr. A claimed and stated that “I only took sleeping pills once”. In the police investigation, he refuted Mr. A’s statement by saying, “I inhaled it through a straw but I thought it was a sleeping pill. I didn’t know it was a drug”.

It is known that Lee Sun-kyun requested a “lie detector test” through a lawyer on the 26th as his claims regarding the drug use allegations clashed with Mr. A’s.
