60-Year-Old Man Dies While Cleaning Cow Manure

A man in his 60s tragically died while cleaning cow manure in Incheon.

According to the Incheon Fire Department on the 29th, the unfortunate accident occurred at 9:33 am the previous day in a barn located in Buleun-myeon, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, where a man in his 60’s was cleaning manure.

The man’s head got stuck in the ‘skid loader’ he was operating for transport, resulting in severely injured his head.

Eventually, He was announced dead at the scene, according to Yonhap News and others.

Police investigations revealed that during the accident, the victim extended his body out of the cockpit, and his head got stuck as the loader arm supporting the bucket came down.

A police official said, “He was cleaning cow manure with a skid loader,” and “It is presumed that he had an accident while checking a problem with the rear wheel.”

The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the accident based on witness statements.

Previously on the 16th, a worker in his 30s died while working at a scrap metal recycling company in Incheon.

According to the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s regional investigation team, at 3:43 pm on the same day, a Pakistani worker in his 30s working at a scrap metal recycling company in Seo-gu, Incheon, collided with a forklift.

He who had suffered a severe head injury in the accident was taken to the hospital but died.

According to the police investigation, Mr. B was hit in the head by the forklift clamp while moving with a ton bag (large bag) hanging in front of him during the scrap separation work.

A police official said, “It appears that the forklift operator failed to see Mr. B and hit him while moving with a large bag hanging in front of the forklift.”

The company is known to have less than 50 regular workers, so it is not subject to the Major Accident Punishment Act.
