A famous TikToker and an influencer with 55 million subscribers, is facing sexual assault charges. He recently stated his position at his second trial.
According to Newsis and others on the 31st, the Seoul Central District Court Criminal Agreement 26th Division (Chief Judge Jung Jin-ah) held a second trial for a man who is accused of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (Special Quasi-Rape).
In July last year, he was arrested and charged for sexually assaulting a woman he was drinking with, along with one of his acquaintances.
Both of them were charged with special semi-rape after the incident. The assaulter reportedly denied the crime, claiming he “had consent from the woman.”
The special quasi-rape charge applied to them is a crime that applies when two or more people sexually assault a victim who is unconscious or unable to resist, with the minimum sentence known to be over 7 years in prison.
At the first trial, the defense postponed the acknowledgment of the charges because they could not discuss the charges with the defendants.
In the second trial, it was reported that they denied all charges.
The assault claimed that there was no conspiracy or cooperation with the victim in the crime and that she woke up and expressed her refusal, so they stopped the crime.
The court decided to proceed with the witness testimony for the victim on March 20th.
Meanwhile, the assault has over 55 million subscribers on TikTok, a global short-form content platform. He also has a history of appearing on multiple broadcasts.
