Upgrade Your Bedroom Vibes: Easy Feng Shui Tips for a Lucky Sleep

Eugene Park Views

Hello. I’m Chuny, a sincere enthusiast of Feng Shui interior design.

Today, I will tell you about Feng Shui interior design for the bedroom, where you should feel most comfortable. I’ll introduce you to our bedroom, which I’ve styled after reading some books on the subject.

You know that Feng Shui interior design is just for fun, right? I hope you find this article interesting!

The bedroom: a space for growth and a symbol of wealth

In Feng Shui’s interior design, the bedroom is seen as a space where wealth accumulates and growth occurs. Wealth tends to flow toward dark places, so keeping the room slightly dark is good. It is recommended to decorate the room as a dark and warm space.

This is the location of our bedroom. The bedroom should ideally be in a quiet place where other family members don’t often pass by, and it’s best if it’s far from the kitchen.

1. Keep the lighting dark and utilize curtains and blinds

When we say to keep the bedroom dark, it doesn’t mean to choose dark colors for the wallpaper, floor, etc. The wallpaper, curtains, and bedding should be soft and warm colors, but it’s best to use dark lighting.

Please adjust the brightness in stages using various side lights and the main ceiling light. You can adjust it according to your needs.

It is said that using yellowish side lights on both sides of the bed can help with financial luck. In everyday life, using indirect lighting instead of ceiling lighting is surprisingly convenient.

If you have a window that gets a lot of sunlight, it would be great to actively use blinds and curtains to adjust the brightness at your discretion.

2. Keep the bedroom simple with just a bed

No electronics, no plants, no mirrors!

It’s best to keep the bedroom simple with just a bed if possible. The reason is that placing only the necessary furniture can facilitate the flow of energy and improve sleep quality.

However, we have a big TV in our bedroom. We got rid of the TV in the living room and watched it in the bedroom before going to sleep. From a Feng Shui interior design perspective, it’s best not to have electronic appliances if possible. If you do, it’s good to neutralize the energy by placing a plant near the electronics.

📌 No flowers!
Unlike the living room and other spaces, decorating the bedroom with flowers is not recommended. It’s also not good to have too many plants. In addition, from a Feng Shui perspective, dry flowers, i.e., dead plants, carry bad energy, so keeping them at home is not recommended.

3. Cleanliness is a must!

First of all, the cleanliness of the bedroom! It’s good to change the bedding frequently and keep the floor clean. If it’s dirty and there’s dust in the corners, it’s not only bad for health but also has a negative impact on financial luck.

It’s best if the dressing room and bedroom are separated. However, if that’s not possible due to the structure, it’s better to have a closet where you can close the door and organize your clothes than to have an exposed hanger in the bedroom.
