Ambassador Ri Ryong Nam said in his banquet speech, “The two countries are continuously and solidly developing, generation after generation, based on the deep trust and friendly relationship established between General Secretary Kim Jong Un and President Xi Jinping.”
Vice Chairman Wang Dongming of the National People’s Congress of China responded, “The traditional friendship between North Korea and China, which has been deepened continuously in the historical process of socialist construction and tested in the changes of the international situation, is a valuable asset shared by the people of both countries.”
The newspaper added, “The banquet participants wished for the health of General Secretary Kim Jong Un and President Xi Jinping.”
