Sandara Park cleared up rumors of her alleged “30 billion won ($22 million)” fortune.

On March 8, Sandara Park was a guest on Bada’s web variety show, “Such a Precious Person in a Precious Place,” which Bada hosted.

2NE1’s Sandara Park directly addressed a rumor regarding her past earnings. When asked if a reported figure of 30 billion won ($22 million) during her peak career was accurate, she clarified, “There was a news report that mentioned this number, and it wasn’t true. My past earnings haven’t even reached the 100 million won mark.”

Sandara Park elaborated that the group’s expenses, including costumes for tours and music videos, were substantial. She mentioned instances where their spending surpassed that of Big Bang, a factor contributing to their income not reaching the previously rumored figure.

Currently pursuing her solo career after 2NE1’s disbandment, Sandara Park openly discussed her initial challenges in variety shows. She acknowledged the concern of being perceived as lacking the necessary skills, attributing it to her limited experience in the variety shows during her time with the group.

Sandara Park also revealed that she was seeking advice from fellow celebrity Bada, who encouraged her to embrace various opportunities. This guidance, including accepting roles beyond lead positions, prompted Park to actively participate in numerous variety shows, allowing her to expand her network.

Bada responded with special affection, sharing, “That’s acknowledging you. You’re kind but surprisingly strong. If I liked 2NE1 in the past as a fan, now I respect you as an individual.”
