Nathan Ngai’s Social Media

Hong Kong singer Nathan Ngai left a cryptic message on social media before an alleged attempt to commit suicide.

On the morning of March 18, Ngai was rescued from an attempted suicide. He left a worrying message on Instagram Stories: “So many emotions. Can’t let go. Sorry for everything. Goodbye, world.” He had also deleted all his social media posts.

Hong Kong 01 reported that Ngai’s family alerted the police at 2 AM on March 18, and authorities identified a man standing on the beach. Once identified as Ngai, he was taken to the hospital to receive treatment.

Ngai’s ex-girlfriend committed suicide on May 2023 during his appearance on Hong Kong’s talent show “King Maker V.” It was alleged that Ngai pressured his ex to break up with him, including deleting all of their photos together. He withdrew from “King Maker V” once the ex’s family was alerted of this news.

On March 12, local media reported that Ngai had been dating Rejena Simkhada (aka Day) from the Cantopop girl group COLLAR since August 2023. Fans were angered and criticized him for starting a new relationship less than three months after his ex’s death as photos of them holding hands were revealed to the public.

Day’s representatives clarified, “There was no further development in their relationship.”
