Interest in travel to Japan is heating up. Among the various destinations, you might wonder where the locals love to visit. Here are some famous travel spots among Japanese people.

Ashikaga Flower Park

Ashikaga Flower Park (あしかがフラワーパーク) is famous for its wisteria flowers. The sight of wisteria flowers hanging over your head is like something out of a painting. At night, the illumination creates an even more magnificent atmosphere. You can also see a wisteria tree that is nearly 160 years old.

From April to May, Ashikaga Flower Park is filled with visitors who come to admire the wisteria flowers. To visit Ashikaga Flower Park, you can take the JR Ryomo Line to Ashikaga Flower Park Station. The park is only a 3-minute walk from the station.

Mother Farm

Mother Farm (マザー牧場) is a representative tourist spot in Chiba Prefecture, trendy among families for weekend outings. The expansive farm is home to freely roaming sheep, dairy cows, alpacas, and horses. The farm also hosts sheepdog shows.

About a million Nemophila flowers bloom from mid-April to early May, filling the vast farm. You can also enjoy yellow rapeseed flowers until early April. Moreover, Mother Farm offers seasonal flower viewing, making it an ideal place for flower lovers.

Are you visiting with children? Enjoy seasonal fruit picking and horseback riding experiences. The farm also offers various attractions like roller coasters, go-karts, and a monorail. Situated on the mountainside, Mother Farm provides a splendid view of Mount Bosom.

Huis Ten Bosch

Huis Ten Bosch (ハウステンボス) is a theme park where you can experience European landscapes. Located north of Omura Bay, it is a leading tourist destination in Japan. Huis Ten Bosch recreates a Dutch village, offering a unique atmosphere. It was built in 1992 to commemorate the friendly relations between Japan and the Netherlands.

It’s a place where you can encounter beautiful flowers all year round and enjoy the diverse scenery of spring. Thanks to millions of LED lights, the park becomes a great spot to enjoy night views from February to May.

Huis Ten Bosch also has hotels, allowing for a leisurely day-long visit.

Nagashima Spa Land

Nagashima Spa Land (ナガシマスパ ランド) is a leading amusement park in Mie Prefecture, featuring about 60 attractions. It’s considered one of the largest theme parks in Japan, with attractions specifically for children, making it ideal for family outings.

Nagashima Spa Land is part of Nagashima Resort, which includes hot springs, hotels, and a seawater pool. A leisurely visit allows you to enjoy various facilities for a fun time.

Fuji-Q Highland

Fuji-Q Highland is a theme park in Shizuoka. It’s one of Japan’s most famous amusement parks and is home to a roller coaster listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. ‘Fujiyama’ is a roller coaster that allows you to experience the thrill of falling from a height of 79m.

At the foot of Mount Fuji, Fuji-Q Highland offers spectacular natural scenery while enjoying the rides. The park includes a resort and spa facilities, making it popular among family visitors.
