Japanese Pageant Winner Exposes Sexual Harassment Ordeal

TV Report Views

A recent winner of a Japanese pageant, Ruru Yamada, has spoken out about facing unwelcome sexual advances from a supporter. This incident has sparked outrage online.

On April 12, Maidona News reported that the winner of CAMPUSGIRLS2024, Yamada, was pressured to engage in sexual relations by a supporter and was threatened when she refused.

Yamada took to a popular social media platform, X, to share a disturbing experience. She revealed that someone who initially seemed supportive of her participation in the CAMPUSGIRLS2024 pageant made inappropriate sexual advances.

Yamada, who aspires to be an actress, said, “I participated in CAMPUSGIRLS2024 because I want to be an actress. But I don’t want to become an actress to the point of engaging in unwanted sexual advances.” She expressed her sorrow, saying, “It’s unfortunate that there are people who use someone’s dream to threaten them.”

Yamada stated, “CAMPUSGIRLS2024 has aspects determined by money. It’s undeniable that money can become support.” She continued, “However, those who exploit this are unacceptable. I don’t want that kind of support. I hope such incidents never happen again in the CAMPUSGIRLS2024, where dreams exist.”

The post has since been deleted.

The pageant Ruru Yamada participated in a prominent competition in Japan, which selected its winner through online voting, social media evaluation, and in-person events.
