RJapan’s Hump Back Band Announces Comeback After All Members Give Birth

tvreport Views

The Japanese band Hump Back, which had previously halted their activities, recently announced their return to the music scene.

On May 16th, they announced their childbirths and plans to resume activities via social media.

Hump Back began their statement with, “To all those who support us, it’s been about ten months since we stopped activities.” They continued, “All members have safely given birth. All three of us are now focusing on parenting,” and revealed that during their hiatus, all members had become mothers and expressed their intention to continue their career as a “band of mothers.”

Hump Back, who all gave birth around the same time, said, “We have also started preparations to resume activities. We look forward to sharing more news in the future,” and conveyed their determination, “Our dreams will not stop.”

In July last year, Hump Back halted their activities due to a member’s pregnancy. At that time, they announced, “One of our members is pregnant. We plan to stop Hump Back’s activities temporarily,” and asked for understanding as it was not a stable period, but did not disclose which member was pregnant.

Hump Back expressed gratitude towards their band members for supporting the balance of pregnancy and musical activities. They also apologized to their fans, saying, “We’re sorry to those waiting for our stage. We will sing as soon as we are stable.”

Fans of Hump Back are sending congratulatory messages to the members who have healthily welcomed their children. Fans reacted with, “I understand why they didn’t reveal the name of the pregnant member. It turns out they were all pregnant,” “Congratulations to all three,” and “I look forward to the activities of Hump Back as mothers.”

Hump Back is a Japanese rock band that debuted in 2009. Their song “Dear Boy (拝啓、少年よ),” released in 2018, was loved by many, reaching 13th place on the Japanese Oricon album chart.
