Yuming Lai, a popular Taiwanese singer and actor, has shared the tragic news that his girlfriend passed away on his birthday.
According to the online media outlet, Sanli Entertainment News, Lai’s girlfriend passed away from cancer in 2020.
Lai shared various stories at a press conference held on May 21.
In response to questions about his love life, Lai said, “I am currently single because I am busy with my schedule”.
He then surprised everyone by revealing, “My girlfriend of nine years passed away from cancer on my birthday in 2020”.
Lai continued, “I was infected with a contagious disease and could not see my girlfriend’s face for the last time. I still regret it.” His confession drew sympathy.
He also said, “Now I can express my feelings. I think it’s an important process. We all have stories, and many people probably have similar stories”.
Meanwhile, Lai is scheduled to hold a concert on June 22 and 23 to meet with his fans.
Regarding this, Lai expressed his aspiration, saying, “I want to move and inspire my fans.”
