Michael Mosley was mysteriously found dead after disappearing in broad daylight during his vacation in Greece.
News outlets such as Reuters and the BBC reported on June 9 that his body was found in a rocky area of Symi Island, Greece, four days after he went missing.
Mayor of Symi Island Lefteris Papakalodoukas reported, “The body appears to have fallen down a steep path and came to a halt after hitting a fence. It lay covered in rocks.”
Mosley was last seen hiking along the beach of Saint Nicholas on Symi Island, Greece, around 1:30 PM on June 5 before he mysteriously disappeared.
His wife Dr. Clare Bailey reported him missing at 7:30 PM that evening when he hadn’t arrived back. The case involved police, firefighters, volunteers, police dogs, and drones.
The police described the case as “thriller-like,” adding “The distances on this island are short whichever direction. He was invited to the island by friends but no one had seen him. How could a person vanish in broad daylight? Unbelievable.”
They continued, “If something had happened to him, there would have been a sighting nearby, but there was no trace of him even after several hours. There was a witness account near a bus stop, but it was proven untrue after checking the security footage,” expressing shock.
Mosley was known as the pioneer of intermittent fasting after publishing a book on intermittent fasting in 2012.
Mosley later gained fame by hosting programs such as BBC’s Trust Me, I’m a Doctor, and The One Show.
