8 World reported on June 10 that fans are dissatisfied with Wu’s appearance as Jiang Li, The Double’s female lead, portraying “the most beautiful woman in Beijing.”

The Double is gaining popularity due to the main actors and supporting actors’ excellent acting skills and exciting story development. 

As interest in the drama continues to rise, Wu receives considerable attention, but comments on social media continuously critique her appearance.

Viewers online responded that Wu’s appearance is insufficient to play the “most beautiful woman in Beijing,” questioning the casting director’s choices and commenting that the actress who plays the maid is prettier than Wu.

The maid, mentioned among fans, is performed by actress Ai Mi. She attracts attention for her beautiful appearance, as Tong Er is Jiang Li’s maid in the drama.

Viewers online responded with comments that she is pretty, that she stands out the most despite her small role, and that she should have portrayed the female lead instead of Wu as the “most beautiful woman in Beijing.”

Wu gained recognition in 2018 when she played Wei Ying Luo, the female lead, in Story of Yanxi Palace. Since then, she has starred in dramas such as Fighting Youth, Legacy, and Royal Feast.
