A thief is making headlines after attempting to steal from a hotel but leaving behind his money when he found nothing was worth taking.
Online media outlet Sanook reported an incident at a hotel in Telangana, India.
Local Indian media outlets shared security footage of the thief entering the hotel wearing a mask.
As the thief searched for items to steal, he expressed his disappointment by gesturing at the security camera when he found nothing.
Before leaving, the thief quenched his thirst by grabbing a soda can from the hotel kitchen fridge.
”I can’t believe it. Why are the conditions so poor here?” The thief said, mocking the hotel owner through the security camera. He placed about 330 won on the table before exiting the hotel.
The video of the thief’s unexpected behavior went viral, with comments asking whether he was a nice thief and questioning his actions for leaving money to buy a drink at the hotel.
The hotel staff realized the robbery a week later and belatedly reported the incident to the police.
