Korean singer JEY, born Jung Jinhyeong, announced his marriage to Japanese model Kitazawa Mayu. He rose to fame as a contestant on the 2014 Mnet audition show Mix & Match, which selected members for the YG boy group iKON.
JEY and Kitazawa posted their wedding photos on social media yesterday, stating, “We are getting married.”
In the pictures, Kitazawa can be seen with her arm around JEY, and both display warm smiles. The couple garnered significant attention for their calm and genuine demeanor.
Fans flooded social media with congratulatory messages, wishing them a “marriage filled with joy” and reminding them that “the most important thing is to love each other.”
JEY gained recognition through Mix & Match, where he showcased impressive performances but was ultimately not selected as a final member of iKON.
Afterward, he left YG Entertainment and debuted as a solo artist under a different agency in 2017. Since then, he has released several albums, highlighting his unique musical style with tracks like “Calling You,” “Recall,” and “Algorithm.”
In 2022, JEY revealed his stage name, Angelo, as part of the crew Ambitious Ambition at the agency AIXS, founded by a former YG executive. However, he has not made significant appearances since the announcement.
JEY’s wife, Kitazawa Mayu, has signed with the modeling agency KPLUS. Born in 1999, she is two years younger than Jung, who was born in 1997.
