NewJeans member Danielle is set to support her older sister’s debut single.

Maeil Business Newspaper reported yesterday that Danielle will feature on the debut album of her sister, Olivia Marsh, a singer-songwriter with dual Korean and Australian nationality.

This will be Danielle’s first time contributing to a track. She is recognized for her captivating vocals and ability to handle a wide range of tones. Olivia Marsh’s debut song, which will be released in English, will feature Danielle’s vocals.

Interest in Danielle’s feature is anticipated to grow in South Korea and internationally. On the 13th, Warner Music Korea announced the launch of its new global label, MPLIFY, introducing Olivia Marsh as its first artist. MPLIFY described her as an Australian singer-songwriter with exceptional talent and originality. They added, “She has been honing her skills through collaborations with K-pop producers and songwriters and is set to debut in October.”

Olivia Marsh expressed her excitement: “I am thrilled to embark on this new journey with MPLIFY and can’t wait to share my music with everyone.”

Olivia Marsh is also the older sister of NewJeans member Danielle. They worked together as child models in their childhood, showcasing their enchanting beauty. Before her official debut as a singer-songwriter, Olivia composed music under the nickname Livy, which she used during her childhood. In April, singer GYUNA, known for her song “LAVA” from the Coupang Play original series Hide, gained attention when it was revealed that she is Danielle’s older sister, sparking speculation about Olivia’s upcoming debut. Olivia Marsh’s Korean name is Mo Gyu Na.

Since debuting with NewJeans in July 2022, Danielle has garnered immense love internationally, thanks to numerous hit songs. However, the group is currently facing internal turmoil due to conflicts between their agency, ADOR, and its parent company, HYBE, involving former CEO Min Hee Jin. On the 11th, NewJeans declared during a live broadcast that they want to return to ADOR, which integrates management and production under Min Hee Jin’s leadership. There is growing interest in the decisions that HYBE and ADOR will make moving forward.
