SEVENTEEN member Jeonghan is set to enlist in the military, becoming the first member of the group to begin his service.

Jeonghan will enter the training camp today and is expected to complete basic military training before serving as a social service worker. His agency, Pledis Entertainment, announced that there would be no official events on the day of his enlistment and requested fans refrain from visiting the service location. They added, “Please leave your messages for Jeonghan through Weverse.”

In a recent communication session on Weverse, Jeonghan addressed fans, saying, “Let’s meet again in two years, healthy. I really want to be less sick, so I will do my best to stay healthy.”

He expressed gratitude to fans who promised to wait for him and encouraged them to stay healthy as well. “Time passes quickly,” he noted, emphasizing the importance of health after undergoing surgery for an ankle injury last December, which halted his activities while he focused on rehabilitation.

Fans are cheering for Jeonghan to stay safe and healthy during his military service. Anticipation is building for his return, with expectations that he will come back even more impressive. Jeonghan is scheduled to be discharged on June 25, 2026.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will release its 12th mini-album, SPILL THE FEELS, on October 14 and embark on a world tour titled RIGHT HERE. However, Jeonghan will not participate in the comeback and the tour due to his military service.

As SEVENTEEN enters this period of military service, group leader S.Coups, who is the same age as Jeonghan, has undergone surgery for a ligament injury and has been classified as a Grade 5 reserve worker. Joshua, a Korean-American from Los Angeles, is exempt from military service in South Korea due to his citizenship. Following Jeonghan, members Hoshi, Wonwoo, and Woozi are expected to enlist in the future.
