Actor Kim Sung Cheol recently revealed his challenges while filming intimate scenes. On Thursday, the YouTube channel MMTG featured Kim Hyun Joo, Kim Sung Cheol, Im Sung Jae from Netflix’s Hellbound 2, and director Yeon Sang Ho as guests.

In Hellbound 2, the story begins with the resurrection of Chairman Jung Jin Soo, portrayed by Kim Sung Cheol. Kim reflected on the experience and said, “I filmed that scene over three or four days. I wasn’t wearing any clothes, and I never knew when I would have to take them off—whether it would be today or tomorrow. I thought to myself, ‘I had eggs today, so I just need to hold on until tomorrow.’ By the third day, I just couldn’t take it anymore.”

Yeon Sang Ho explained, “Knowing that the actors were managing their physiques, we originally scheduled the shoot earlier. However, due to some circumstances with actor Im Sung Jae, we had to push one of the scenes back.” He added, “The diet was supposed to be completed beforehand.”

Kim Sung Cheol jokingly remarked, “I was on the diet for five months. When I heard my co-star was injured and the shoot would be delayed, I ate normally for just two days and ended up feeling really bloated.”

Yeon humorously noted, “There’s a lot of dust on set, and we even create some intentionally. We sprinkle bean powder. If an actor is in a vulnerable state and there’s bean powder around, they might just end up eating it.” His witty comment drew laughter from those nearby.

Meanwhile, Kim Sung Cheol has taken on the role of Jung Jin Soo, the founding chairman of the New Truth Society, a character originally played by Yoo Ah In in the previous season. Yoo Ah In stepped down from Hellbound following controversies related to drug use.

Netflix’s Hellbound 2 unfolds in a world increasingly chaotic by ongoing hellbound decrees. The story centers on the suddenly resurrected Chairman Jung Jin Soo and Park Jeong Ja, weaving together the storylines of Sodo’s lawyer, Min Hye Jin, the New Truth Society, and the Arrowhead faction in new and complex ways. The series is set to premiere on Friday.
