Former Crayon Pop member Soyul (Park Soyul) has opened up about her married life, offering an honest perspective on her relationship and parenting. Her comments addressing ongoing rumors about her marriage have drawn significant attention.

On Thursday, Soyul held a Q&A session called Mumul Time on her personal Instagram. During the session, a fan asked about the fears surrounding marriage. Soyul reassured her followers, saying, “It’s natural to be nervous about something you haven’t experienced. But in our one life, marriage and parenting are advantageous. There’s so much to learn; having a loving partner by your side feels like a protective shield. Parenting can be tough, but it’s also beautiful. It’s a whole new chapter in a life filled with responsibility and growth.”

In a later update, seemingly addressing speculation about her relationship with her husband, former H.O.T member Moon Hee Joon, Soyul smiled brightly and said, “We’re genuinely having a fun and happy life together. Truly, honestly. I hope everyone finds their own happiness, too.” Her comment aimed to put any rumors of marital strife to rest.

In the same Q&A session, Soyul was asked about traditional gender roles, specifically why household chores and parenting are often considered women’s responsibilities. Soyul responded thoughtfully, “I don’t really know, but maybe it’s because women are seen as the ones who are meant to give birth and care for the home. Of course, many men are great at helping out as well. The important thing is that housework is work. The more you do it, the better you get at it. Even if you’re not fond of it initially, doing it together will make you better at it.”

Some speculated that Soyul’s comments were a subtle critique of her husband, Moon Hee Joon. However, Soyul quickly responded, reiterating that she and her husband are enjoying a happy and fulfilling marriage, putting the rumors to rest.

Soyul made her debut in 2012 as a member of the K-pop group Crayon Pop. She married Moon Hee Joon in 2017, overcoming a 13-year age gap. The couple now has two children.
