Korean actress Song Ji Hyo recently recalled her memorable school days, sharing a humorous story with the cast of Running Man. In this particular episode, Song referred to herself as the Il San boss (Il San I Jjang), a playful term suggesting she was one of her school’s most popular and influential figures.
During the Sunday episode of SBS’s Running Man, special guests Kim Dong Jun, BabyMonster’s Rami, and Rora joined the cast for a fun mission called the Overstepping Class President Election.
In the show’s opening segment, where the cast dressed in school uniforms, Song Ji Hyo showcased her youthful charm with braided hair. This prompted Yoo Jae Suk to jokingly comment, “What’s with this young noble look?”
Song responded with a laugh, brushing off the comment: “Noble? What do you mean by that?” She explained, “It’s common to braid your hair when wearing a school uniform.”
When asked if she was the most popular girl in Ilsan, Song quipped, “No, I was actually the second most popular. There was a friend named Hye Seong who was prettier than me.” Her self-deprecating remark brought hearty laughter from the cast and audience alike.
Ji Ye Eun, a Jungang Girls’ High School graduate, responded to Haha’s playful inquiry about whether she was the school’s queen bee by laughing and saying, “No, I was actually the school’s promotional model.”
When the Running Man cast expressed doubt, Ji doubled down, insisting, “It’s true! But I can’t find that magazine anymore.” Her persistence sent the studio into fits of laughter.
Meanwhile, in this episode, Kim Dong Jun made a guest appearance, turning heads with his charming flower boy visuals and exclaiming, “You’re the most handsome one here!”
Earlier in the episode, Ji Ye Eun, who had initially met Kim Dong Jun without makeup, shyly expressed her feelings upon reuniting with him. Her bashful reaction added a sweet touch to the lively atmosphere of the show.
