The film Boy, a gripping mix of youth, crime, and romance, has wrapped up production.

Set in the fictional town of Pogoo, the story follows Rohan, his older brother Kyohan, and Jane, a newcomer who moves into a Texas-style hot springs run by the local hatmaker. This intriguing setup sets the stage for a compelling romantic crime narrative. The film boasts a stellar cast, including Jo Byeong Kyu, Seo In Guk, Yoo In Soo, and JINI, with each character promising to deliver an edge-of-your-seat experience.

Jo Byeong Kyu, who plays Rohan—a young man accustomed to a life of crime—expressed his excitement about the project: “The energy of youth was so palpable throughout the shoot. I’m confident that the passion on set will translate into an exceptional film.”

Seo In Guk, who portrays the hatmaker, the city’s mysterious and shadowy leader, shared his own anticipation: “I believe this film will offer a unique blend of youthful passion and darkness. Collaborating with such a talented cast was a pleasure, balancing intensity with moments of levity. I’m deeply grateful for this experience.”

Solo artist JINI, taking on her first acting role in Boy, shared her heartfelt excitement: “I was thrilled playing the role of Jane. Although it was my first time on a film set, I’m incredibly grateful to the seasoned actors, and fellow cast members I worked with, and the amazing crew and director who put so much effort into creating the best scenes. My time on Boy has been an unforgettable experience.”

Solo artist JINI, who is taking on her first acting role in Boy, shared her heartfelt excitement: “I was truly happy playing the role of Jane. Although it was my first time on a movie set, I’m incredibly grateful to the senior actors. I worked with fellow cast members and the amazing crew and director, who all worked hard to create the best scenes. My time with Boy was truly a joyful experience.”

Director Lee Sang Deok, who made his directorial debut with the 2017 film Write or Dance, gained critical acclaim for his sophomore feature, Film Adventure, which won the Best Film Award at the Bucheon Fantastic Film Festival. With Boy, Lee is raising expectations for his next project. He shared his commitment to the film: “I’m focused on the post-production process to ensure this becomes a truly unique film, blending the passion of youth with its darker elements.”

After completing its post-production process, the unpredictable youth crime romance Boy will be released in theaters in the first half of 2025.
