Dodge, part of the Stellantis group, has unveiled its new vision for the future of its muscle car legacy, introducing the all-electric Dodge Charger and Charger Daytona in March of this year. These models reflect Dodge’s ability to adapt to shifting market trends while maintaining its iconic muscle car identity. As part of its broader strategy, Dodge is now set to enter the electric SUV market with the upcoming launch of a new mid-size SUV, which is expected to be a successor to the Dodge Durango.

Scheduled for release in 2027, this new SUV, potentially named Dodge Stealth, will likely be an all-electric vehicle, following the same electric path set by the Charger series. While the official prototype has not yet been released, early renderings have begun circulating, providing a glimpse into what the Stealth may look like.

The Dodge Stealth, launched in the 1990s, continues the legacy of the past

The name “Stealth” was originally used for the Dodge Stealth, a badge-engineered version of the Mitsubishi 3000GT that debuted in the 1990s. Like how the Dodge Charger electric vehicle inherited its performance legacy, the upcoming Stealth is expected to continue that tradition. While details about the new model remain scarce, the prototype has not yet been released, so design elements are still under wraps.

However, a designer’s rendering has surfaced, showcasing a potential direction for the new Dodge Stealth. The concept shares design cues with the Dodge Charger series, incorporating a futuristic and distinct atmosphere. Notable features include a full-width light bar at the front and a boxy, angular body design that connects sharply at the front and hood.

Horizontal Lines and Floating Roof

The bumper’s black high-gloss material enhances sophistication and is integrated with the side fender cladding. The bumper, bonnet parting line, and light bar all feature straight horizontal shapes. The bonnet and fender are connected at an angle on the side. The flat design with straight lines continues from the front to the side.

The roof line and window side pillars are treated in black to create a floating roof effect. The roofline, connected to the A-pillar at an angle, maintains a sense of height and continues to the rear. On the side, the built-in door handles are applied to emphasize the body proportions. The character line starting from the fender smoothly extends diagonally toward the rear.

Horizontal tail lamps are placed

The rear part has a design similar to that of the front part. The rear glass is connected to the side glass, and the tail lamps are long and extend to the rear quarter panel. The design elements are connected in a unified manner from the rear to the side. However, evaluations also show that the boxy shape and horizontal tail lamps resemble the R2S of the American electric vehicle brand Rivian.

For the lower bumper, black was applied, and a rear diffuser of the same color as the bumper was placed. Reflectors are integrated on the side of the bumper and placed horizontally like the upper tail lamp. Meanwhile, as the trend of electrification is blowing in the global automobile market, major automakers are making various changes. In this situation, attention is also being paid to Dodge’s future actions as it continues to make bold attempts.
