Lee Je Hoon recently revealed his lifelong passion for cinema, showing that he made it a point to visit theaters whenever he could, even during his military service.
On Sunday, Lee Je Hoon’s YouTube channel featured a new video titled “Art House Cinema in the City,” with special guest Lee Myung Ha.
During their visit to a well-known art house theater in the heart of Gwanghwamun, Lee Je Hoon expressed his deep fondness for the venue, saying, “This theater holds a special place in my heart. I’ve been here countless times, and it has a unique connection to me.”
He shared, “When I was serving in the military nearby, I would always make time to visit this theater whenever I had weekend leave. As far as I know, this is the oldest art house cinema in South Korea — a must-see for any true film lover.”
The episode also featured Lee Myung Ha, star of the upcoming film Mimang, as a special guest. Lee Je Hoon warmly greeted his longtime friend, saying, “How have you been? You haven’t aged a day!”
The two actors have been friends for 15 years, and their reunion on Lee Je Hoon’s channel was full of camaraderie. Lee Je Hoon expressed his gratitude to Lee Myung Ha, saying, “Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to join me on my YouTube channel.” Lee Myung Ha replied, “I’m the one who should be thanking you. Life truly is full of surprises.”
Lee Myung Ha will star in Mimang, which will be released on Wednesday. Directed by Kim Tae Yang, the film tells the story of a woman who unexpectedly encounters her former lover while walking through Gwanghwamun, one of Seoul’s most iconic districts. The cast includes Ha Seong Guk, Park Bong Joon, and Baek Seung Jin.
Lee Je Hoon shared his excitement for the project, saying, “I’m so thrilled that Lee Myung Ha is starring in such an outstanding film. The fact that Mimang will be screened in this theater, which I love, is simply amazing. Congratulations to him and the entire team!”
