A Dream Car for Families and Off-Road Enthusiasts

Unveiled at the 2015 SEMA Show, the Toyota Sienna UUV is not your typical minivan. While it retains the familiar Sienna appearance, this vehicle is built on the frame of Toyota’s rugged Tacoma pickup truck, making it as capable off-road as family-friendly. The UUV was designed to be more than just a family car—it’s an actual adventure vehicle capable of tackling everything from the scorching deserts of North America to the freezing cold of Canada and Alaska.

Before being revealed, Toyota rigorously tested the UUV, driving it for over 16,500 miles (around 26,550 km), proving its durability and performance in diverse conditions.

Off-Road Performance Meets Luxurious Comfort

The UUV is equipped with numerous modifications to enhance its off-road capabilities. It features a four-link suspension that raises the vehicle’s height by 3.9 inches, combined with 22-inch Monster rims and 33-inch Nitto Mud Grappler tires. A TRD supercharger and Wilwood braking system further boost its powerful performance, making it easily handle tough terrains.

Despite its rugged exterior, the interior of the UUV offers unexpected luxury. The spacious Sienna cabin has been reconfigured for maximum comfort, with two independent rear seats allowing four seats. A large camera mounted on the roof captures a 360-degree view of the surroundings, displayed on a 17-inch monitor inside. The system also features night vision, enabling navigating even the darkest remote areas without additional lighting.

Convenience and Entertainment for the Modern Explorer

The UUV is not just about performance; it also boasts advanced convenience features for long-distance travel and camping. A laptop tray is in front of the second-row seats, perfect for working on the go. A 60-inch Sony LED TV in the trunk, paired with a mobile satellite TV receiver and Wi-Fi connectivity, ensures you’re always connected and entertained, no matter how far off the beaten path you venture.

The UUV comes with a 2,500W JBL audio system for music lovers, delivering rich sound for your journey. Toyota designed this vehicle to be the ultimate mobile base camp, combining comfort, technology, and performance for any environment.

When the UUV was first unveiled, Toyota proudly stated, “This is a vehicle that can deliver the performance that the user wants in any environment.” With its forward-thinking design, powerful performance, and advanced features, the Toyota Sienna UUV truly lives up to its name as the “Ultimate” utility vehicle.
