Earlier this month, when Apple launched its mixed reality (MR) headset Vision Pro, a bizarre incident occurred. A user was spotted behind the wheel of a moving car, operating Vision Pro. He reportedly had Tesla's self-driving mode turned on. The video of the incident quickly went viral, and a growing chorus of voices began to criticize the system. As the controversy spread, the U.S. Secretary of Transportation got involved. "All advanced driver assistance systems in use today must allow the occupant to remain focused on driving and in control of the vehicle at all times," said Secretary Pete Buttigieg on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
