Microsoft’s $2.1 Billion Investment Spurs AI Growth in Spain

Microsoft, a giant software company in the United States, is investing in Spain for AI expansion following Germany.

Bradford L. Smith, Vice Chairman and President of Microsoft, posted on social media on the 19th (local time) that they are investing $2.1 billion to expand AI and cloud infrastructure in Spain.

Microsoft’s investment in Spain comes after announcing an investment of 3.2 billion euros ($3.45 billion) in Germany to focus on artificial intelligence (AI) over the next two years.

Smith said, “Our investment goes beyond building data centers and proves our 37-year commitment to Spain’s safety and development and digital transformation of government, businesses, and citizens.”

Microsoft did not announce additional details about the investment in Spain.

Microsoft’s stock price closed at $404.06, down 2.50% from the previous trading.
