Bentley recently introduced the Azure First Edition, a limited-edition model of the Bentayga EWB. Officially launched in May 2022 and sold for 12 months, it is a long-wheelbase version of the Bentayga. The added length was used to expand the second-row space.
The price is about $229,625, making it a high-end vehicle. An American couple who visited a dealership to purchase a Bentayga EWB received a somewhat unusual offer from a Mulliner design manager. Instead of choosing existing colors and interior finishes, the suggestion was to get out of fixed ideas and choose a different color.
Blackline package applied
Choose contrasting colors
This model is equipped with the Black Line Styling Pack. All exterior chrome and side mirrors except the Bentley emblem are finished in black when selecting the Black Line package. The couple wanted a blue metallic exterior color to contrast with the black.
After a discussion with Bentley’s paint shop, it was decided that a two-tone color was possible. Accordingly, details were reviewed, and the first two-tone Bentayga EWB combined blue and black was completed. In addition to the Blackline package, the Touring package with driver assistance functions, the Azur package, and rear privacy glass were installed.
Glamorous interior
highlighted in blue
The Bentley lettering was removed on the rear part, and the signature logo “Winged B” was engraved. A blue color was also applied to the 22-inch wheels. The model is a 4-seater vehicle and features a luxurious interior. The leather seats are decorated with an orange-based color, Mandarin, and a blue-based Imperial Blue color.
The dashboard, door cards, center console, and wood trim are made of open-pore core veneer, and less than 90% polish is used to give the wooden surface a lively feel. Kingfisher-colored leather was applied to some areas, including the gear lever, steering wheel, and seat bolsters. The Bentley logo is embroidered on the seats.
Customized design applied
The Mulliner key box for storing valuables is also decorated in Imperial blue and Mandarin colors. It is said that the interior was created through customized design. The second row has a large space and seats inspired by airplane seats. Diamond-shaped embroidery enhances the sense of luxury and provides a thicker and softer sitting experience than previous ones.
