S-OIL maintained its position as the “Most Admired Company in Korea” for the eighth consecutive year, overseen by the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC).
On the 27th, S-OIL announced that it had been selected as the top company in the petroleum refining business for eight consecutive years and included in the All-Star 30 (top 30 companies) for six consecutive years. The “Most Admired Company in Korea” is selected annually through a comprehensive evaluation of six aspects: innovative capabilities, customer value, and image value. S-OIL stated, “We are honored that our efforts to satisfy all stakeholders have been recognized and to win this award for eight consecutive years.”
An S-OIL representative emphasized, “Under our Vision 2030 of becoming ‘An eco-friendly energy chemical company with the highest competitiveness and creativity,’ we have built an optimal business portfolio that brings together oil refining, petrochemicals, and lubricants.” They added, “We have grown through proactive facility investments predicting energy trends, creative brand marketing centered on customers, ESG management for a sustainable society, and investment in talent training and digital transformation.”
S-OIL is currently focusing on expanding its petrochemical business and for new companies, such as hydrogen. The “Shaheen Project,” the largest petrochemical investment in Korea, is scheduled to be completed by 2026. It is expected to strengthen the company’s revenue structure and become a new growth engine to enhance its competitiveness.
Furthermore, S-OIL is actively practicing ESG management, including △reducing carbon emissions following the decarbonization roadmap △and participating in CSR activities alongside the social community △, establishing a transparent, ethical management system. With these efforts recognized, S-OIL was the only Asian oil refining company in the “DJSI World Companies” for 14 consecutive years.
In addition, S-OIL is systematically managing its brand and conducting customer-centered brand marketing under the principle that “Customers are the reason and purpose for the company’s existence, and customer satisfaction is the highest value that the company pursues.” It also operates differentiated customer marketing programs centered around advertisements involving the character “Gu Do Il,” including △card marketing △sports marketing △sales promotions △service and quality management systems.
