What are its Features?

Meet Hyundai’s most powerful electric vehicle currently available, the Ioniq 5 N. News of this vehicle’s recent entry into the U.S. market has been announced. It is expected to be the most expensive Hyundai model sold in the U.S. Local consumers are showing great interest in its performance and anticipated price.

The Ioniq 5 N’s aggressive front fascia reflects its superior performance. Other design highlights include a front splitter, aerodynamic side skirts, and luminous orange accents. Let’s explore the features of the Ioniq 5 N, which has entered the U.S. market.

What Hidden Design Features Does Hyundai’s Masterpiece, the Ioniq 5 N, Have?

In addition to the design features mentioned above, the Ioniq 5 N has a distinctive roof spoiler and a
third brake light that harmonizes with the sporty rear end. The body is lower, wider, and longer than the standard model, and it’s impressive to see the massive diffuser and 21-inch aluminum wheels that wrap around Pirelli P Zero summer tires.

Hyundai has not disclosed details about the interior of the U.S. model. Industry experts anticipate that it will have a sports steering wheel, a wireless smartphone charger, and Performance Blue accents. In addition, a standalone display featuring a digital instrument cluster and infotainment system is expected to be included.

Understanding the Performance Encapsulated in the Design by Numbers

Hyundai focused on vehicle performance when developing this model. The Ioniq 5 N is based on the E-GMP platform, Hyundai Group’s electric vehicle platform. It comes with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system and an 84 kWh battery pack. This allows a maximum output of 601 horsepower (448 kW/609 PS). Adding the N Grin Boost function can increase the maximum output to 641 horsepower (478 kW/650 PS) for 10 seconds.

The N Grin Boost function enables the vehicle to reach its top speed of 162 mph more quickly after accelerating to 62 mph. The EPA estimated range has not yet been announced, but it has been reported that if connected to a 350-kW DC fast charger, it can charge from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes.

What Special Features Will the High-Performance Synonym, the N Brand, Show?

The Ioniq 5 N features a new steering system, befitting the N brand and its high-performance powertrain. The vehicle structure has also been reinforced using 42 additional welds and 2.1m adhesive. Various N-brand features have also been added, including a reinforced motor and battery mounts.

These features include the N Pedal, N Drift Optimizer, and Adjustable N Torque Distribution. In addition, vehicle buyers can add the N Launch Control, N Active Sound+, and the N e-Shift function that simulates an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
