Service Subscriptions Expanded
Audi, one of the three major German automakers in South Korea, unveiled a partially modified A3 model on November 11. The fourth-generation A3 was launched in the second half of 2022 in South Korea, and this partially modified model is expected to be launched first in the U.S. in 2025. The exterior has undergone minor detail changes.
The front end features a larger single-frame grille that aligns with Audi’s latest design. The position of the Audi logo has slightly increased compared to the previous model. A thin air intake crossing the center has been designed at the bottom of the bumper.

Interior Features Eco-Friendly Materials
The car features a signature daytime running light that allows one to choose from four graphics combined with matrix LED headlights. The rear design, inspired by the RS3, features a honeycomb-patterned bumper. The taillights have not undergone significant changes except for minor graphic modifications.
The interior features a 12.3-inch digital cluster linked to a 10.1-inch touchscreen. The electronic gear lever has been made smaller, and 100% recycled polyester decorations have been applied. Despite these minor changes, Audi has sparked controversy by offering some basic features of the new A3 through subscription options.
Subscription Fees Required for Feature Use
Maximum Output of 148 Horsepower
Even basic features like high-beam assist, dual-zone interior temperature control, adaptive cruise control, and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto require subscription fees. The subscription system offering these features can be set for one month, six months, one year, or three years, and there is also an option for a permanent subscription. Detailed pricing information has not been disclosed. These service subscriptions are expected to be applied to the A3 models launched in Europe first.
The A3’s powertrain for the European market model comes in two specifications: a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder mild hybrid and a 35 TDI diesel engine, both linked to a 7-speed automatic transmission and delivering a maximum output of 148 horsepower. After the release of these two powertrains, Audi plans to launch a plug-in hybrid model by the end of this year.
All-Street Trim Also Available
Hatchback Model with Increased Ground Clearance
The new A3 also introduces an All-Street trim. This 5-door hatchback model features a matte black grille and a front-end design in the form of a skid plate. The All-Street has a ground clearance 3mm higher than the A3 through a dedicated suspension, providing a smoother ride. It comes with 17-inch wheels as standard and 18- and 19-inch wheels available as options. The trunk has a basic capacity of 379 liters (approximately 13.4 cubic feet) and a maximum capacity of 1,200 (approximately 42.4 cubic feet).
