Grandeur Convertible designed by AI / Clien.net
With recent technological advancements, it’s predicted that AI will gradually replace job positions in various industries. The design field stands out, where AI has analyzed millions of image types and produced realistic images that rival human capabilities.
A user from Clien.net, the Korean online community, noticed this AI technology and requested the AI transform major domestic car models into convertibles. The user revealed images created by the image-generating artificial intelligence DALL-E. The AI showcased its skill by redesigning familiar domestic cars into convertibles with a fresh look.
Matte Black Casper Convertible
Avante with High-Performance Vibe
The first one is the convertible version of Hyundai’s compact SUV Casper. While it borrowed the original Casper’s shape, it has transformed into a slightly more angular and boxy design with the matte-black exterior color, making it look small and luxurious. The round headlights have moved higher. A grill-like design was applied to the front fascia, and a rough, leather-like material appeared.
Next up is the Hyundai Avante convertible. A thin grille with a honeycomb pattern has been applied in a hexagonal shape reminiscent of an Audi model. In contrast to the existing model, where they are adjacent, spaces are created between the headlights and grill. The bumper is designed in a very aggressive shape, and lines and volume have been added to the hood to enhance its three-dimensionality.
Feels Like a Luxury Vintage Car
Aggressive Design of Stinger
Next up is the Hyundai Grandeur Convertible. It seems to borrow the appearance of the first-generation Grandeur, but the overall look is entirely different from the existing Grandeur. The front features a large chrome grille in a grid pattern. The round headlights and angular grille create a harmony of their own. The bumper design is not simply angular but incorporates curves and bent lines for a diverse design.
Next is a convertible version of the Kia Stinger, discontinued in 2023. Being a GT sports sedan, its original sporty design fits well with the convertible. The sleek air intake and protruding lower bumper create a sporty feel. The original tiger nose grille has been applied without significant changes, and an air intake is also attached to the bonnet.
The last one is Tucson. The front grill seems inspired by the facelift model of the second-generation Tucson, released in 2013. The vertical grille seen in the previous Tucson has been applied, and the end of the grille is bent to use a detailed design. The headlights are similar to the third-generation Tucson. The unique point is that gullwing doors have been used, but the design did not consider the physical movement structure. The second-row doors are halfway cut, seemingly lacking functional significance, creating a different kind of convertible.
Next is Kia’s Morning convertible. It is similar to the design of the facelift model of the second-generation New Morning. A chrome garnish has been applied to various front parts to create a more luxurious look. The grille is slightly recessed inward, giving the front design a three-dimensional composition.
