Mini’s New model, Aceman
To Be Revealed in Beijing
Price Around $48,000
BMW Group’s Mini brand new model, Aceman
The vehicle was unveiled by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The Aceman is the second vehicle produced by Spotlight Automotive (a joint venture between BMW and China’s Great Wall), following the all-electric Mini Cooper.
Aceman and Aceman S are scheduled to be officially unveiled at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show on April 24 this year. Meanwhile, it is said that the driving range of Aceman S, the upper version of Aceman, has been increased to 400 km (about 248.5 miles).
Made with a Modern Design
More Angular Design than the Previous Model
The Mini Aceman looks like a smaller and sportier model than the Countryman. Mini designed the Aceman by embracing modern design, and the front headlights were changed to an angular design. Additionally, a design with only thin vents was adopted for the bottom. At the same time, Mini’s traditional element of short overhangs was maintained.
The Aceman S’s design was highlighted with a gold skid plate and an S-shaped badge. Like the headlights, the sides were more angled than the previous model and equipped with a floating roof. In the rear, a roof spoiler was installed, and split Union Jack lights, which can be considered a brand symbol, were also visible.
Can Choose the Length of the Vehicle
Shares electric powertrain with Mini Cooper Electric Vehicle
The Aceman and Aceman S body sizes have a total width of 1755 mm (about 69.09 inches), a total height of 1515 mm (about 59.64 inches), and a wheelbase of 2606 mm (about 102.59 inches). In terms of length, we can choose between 4076 mm (about 160.47 inches) and 4094 mm (about 161.18 inches). If a longer length is selected, the front and rear overhangs will be longer.
The Mini Aceman shares its electric powertrain with the Mini Cooper electric vehicle. The Aceman has a 135 kW electric motor generating 181 horsepower and a 40.7 kWh battery pack. The driving range of this model is approximately 300 km (about 186 miles), and the maximum speed is 160 km/h ( about 99.4 mph)
Aceman S’s Driving Range is 248.5 Miles
NCM Lithium Battery installed
The Aceman S is equipped with a 160kW motor that produces 215 horsepower. Its maximum speed is 170 km/h (about 106 mph). Additionally, the Aceman S is equipped with a 54.2 kWh battery pack and boasts a driving range of approximately 400 km (about 248.5 miles). The batteries installed in Aceman and Aceman S are NCM (Nickel Cobalt Manganese) lithium batteries. The batteries were made by Great Wall’s battery subsidiary, Svolt.
Additionally, Mini said it will provide customers with various alloy wheel designs ranging from 17 to 19 inches. Meanwhile, the price of the Mini Aceman is expected to be around 344,530 yuan ( about $ 47,778). This model is expected to be launched globally later this year.
