Lee Seung Gi’s side explained the controversy during his US tour.
Lee Seung Gi’s agency, Human Made, explained the controversy over fan service, stating that the cancellation of the visit to a Korean restaurant in Atlanta, USA, on the 4th was due to considering the artist’s condition for the performance.
Earlier on the 1st (local time), Atlanta Korea Daily reported that on the 30th of last month, when news of Lee Seung Gi’s local performance was announced, he planned to visit a Korean restaurant supported by the Korean community but unilaterally canceled it, causing disappointment to the fans who were waiting for him.
In response, the agency stated, “He had poor conditions due to turbulence as we moved from LA to Atlanta, and we arrived at the hotel after 10:30 PM” and “The concert is the most important schedule, and we thought that the audience looking for the performance should be prioritized. As an agency, we had to consider the artist’s condition as important.”
They also denied the suspicion that the cancellation of the scheduled New York performance on the 2nd was due to poor ticket sales, stating that it was due to the local performance venue situation.
In May, Lee Seung Gi conducted an Asian tour titled ‘Walking on the Boy’s Path – Chapter 2.’ In August, he held his first US tour since his debut, performing in Los Angeles and Atlanta.
