Mina Sohn is an announcer and travel writer who majored in Spanish language and literature at Korea University.
She joined KBS as an announcer in 1997 and hosted programs such as Family Entertainment and The Golden Bell Challenge. After suddenly resigning in 2007, she has been active as a broadcaster and travel writer.
She even received an honor from the King of Spain.
As mentioned earlier, Mina Sohn, who specializes in Spanish culture, frequently visits countries in the Spanish cultural sphere. When she traveled to Cuba, she reportedly received a lot of attention from local men.
There are various reasons why each person pursued her, but it is said that they actively pursued her because if they became a couple, she could live in their country. She claims to have received up to three marriage proposals a day.
Even though she turned 50 this year, Mina Sohn is known for her youthful appearance, even by Korean standards. So, it would be even more difficult to guess her age by Western standards.
Although it wasn’t in Cuba, she once received a confession from someone 20 years younger than her while traveling, and she jokingly said that if the age difference is too big, she becomes like a teacher.
Mina Sohn is active as a travel writer and has published numerous travel essay books. In March, she also released a documentary called El Camino, about her journey on the Camino de Santiago in Spain.
