Actor Robert Downey Jr.
Opens Up About Rumors of His Return
Positive About Marvel Comeback
Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr. has spoken up about rumors of his return as Iron Man.
On April 8, Robert Downey Jr. responded to a question about his return to Marvel in an interview with Esquire, saying, “Happily, (Iron Man) is very important as part of my DNA. That role chose me.”
He added, “Don’t bet against Kevin Feige. You will lose. He is the host. He will always win.”
Previously, there were rumors that Marvel was considering bringing back the original members for a new Avengers movie due to ongoing box office failures.
Iron Man, the protagonist of the Marvel series who met his final fate in Avengers: Endgame in 2019, was reportedly among the returnees.
Kevin Feige denied the rumors last December, stating, “We will cherish that moment and never touch it again. We all worked very hard for years to achieve it. I don’t want to cancel it in any way.”
Amidst Robert Downey Jr. and Kevin Feige showing conflicting opinions, expectations are growing about how Robert Downey Jr. will return to the MCU.
There were speculative reports that Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans had signed contracts to appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, which will be released in 2027.
