Eternal ‘Black Panther’ Chadwick Boseman’s 3rd anniversary, commemorated by colleagues
Fellow actors pay tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, who will live on in the memories of movie fans everywhere.
Actress Lupita Nyong’o, who appeared as lovers in Black Panther, expressed her great pain at the news of Chadwick Boseman’s passing three years ago on the 29th, stating, “I was very confused, and it took me a few months to recover emotionally.”
She also posted a photo of Chadwick Boseman that she personally took three years ago on her Instagram.
This photo was taken when Chadwick Boseman visited Incheon International Airport to promote Black Panther in 2018. Black Panther was filmed in Busan, capturing the image of Korea in the movie.
Lupita Nyong’o posted the photo and said, “It’s a photo I took with a film(camera) at the airport when I just arrived in Korea.” She recalled the glorious 72 hours we spent there when we learned how to make a heart with our fingers.”
She also mourned, saying, “Chadwick can no longer be captured in our photos, but he will always be with us in our hearts.”
Following Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, who played Chadwick Boseman’s sister Shuri, and Daniel Kaluuya, who played W’Kabi in Black Panther, also mourned their departed colleagues through social media, expressing their heartfelt feelings.
Chadwick Boseman captivated global film fans by appearing as the new hero, Black Panther, through Marvel Studios’ 2016 series Captain America: Civil War.
He gained popularity from fans worldwide, leading to the success of the standalone series Black Panther, released in 2018. However, he passed away on August 28, 2020, while battling colon cancer, causing sadness among colleagues and film fans.
