Members of the band BTS, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, are embarking on the process for their military enlistment.
On the 22nd, their agency, Big Hit Music, announced, “RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook have started the process to fulfill their military service obligations. We will provide updates on their military enlistment as decisions are made.”
The statement continued, “We ask for your warm support and unwavering love until the day RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook return healthy after fulfilling their military duties. We will also continue to provide our artists with unwavering support and love.”
BTS members have been able to postpone their enlistment until the age of 30 under the revised Military Service Act of 2020, following a recommendation for enlistment postponement from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. If the postponement is cancelled, they will be enlisted in active duty as soon as they receive their enlistment notice.
Meanwhile, Jin, J-Hope, and Suga of BTS are currently serving their military duties.
