BTS, who owns numerous music videos with billions of views, has shown impressive results.
The music video for ‘Black Swan’, a track from BTS’s 4th regular album ‘MAP OF THE SOUL : 7’ released in 2020, surpassed 500 million views on YouTube around 7:59 am on the 15th. As a result, ‘Black Swan’ became BTS’s 17th music video with 500 million views and the 39th music video with billions of views.
‘Black Swan’ is a dreamy song with a trap drum beat, a mournful lo-fi guitar melody, and a catchy hook, containing the autobiographical message of BTS, who realized what music means to them. This song, which was pre-released in January 2020 before the release of the 4th regular album, entered major overseas charts such as the US Billboard Main Song Chart ‘Hot 100’ (57th place) and the UK Official Singles ‘Top 100’ (46th place) at the time of its announcement and topped the iTunes ‘Top Song’ chart in 93 countries and regions around the world.
The ‘Black Swan’ music video captures the members changing from a white swan to a black swan on stage, and the barefoot performance scenes of the seven members maximize lyrical and artistic sensibilities.
Meanwhile, BTS debuted with ‘No More Dream’ in June 2013, won the Top Social Artist Award at the Billboard Music Awards for five consecutive years, and enjoyed great popularity worldwide, including ranking first on the Billboard HOT 100.
They also achieved impressive results, such as the ‘Most YouTube MV views in 24 hours’ and ‘Most YouTube K-pop group MV views in 24 hours’ records being registered in the Guinness World Records.
Currently, BTS started enlisting in the military starting with member Jin in December 2022.
By June 2025, all BTS members’ military service will be completed, and the BTS members and their agency are hoping to resume full-scale activities in 2025.
