From Idol to Cook: BTS Jungkook Takes on New Role in Military

tvreport Views

BTS’s Jungkook currently serves as a cook.

The music industry reported on March 19 that Jungkook is working hard as a cook after finishing his basic military training.

In a recent update, Jungkook left a message for his fans on Weverse conveying that he diligently participates in physical training and maintains his quarters, including thorough cleaning “even up to the ceiling.” He also revealed his involvement in cooking duties, specifically mentioning his proficiency in rice preparation.

After much speculation, Jungkook’s service as a cook was confirmed. Known as the “BTS Chef,” Jungkook is well-known for his cooking and previously made “Makguksu,” a Korean buckwheat noodle recipe, go viral.

Jungkook enlisted in the military last December alongside Jimin at the 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province. The expected discharge date for Jungkook and Jimin is June 2025.
