Japanese singer and talent Ano turned heads with her confession of using pants instead of a towel to dry herself off after a shower.
On March 18, Ano appeared on the Japanese Nippon TV show “Shabekuri 007” and shocked the set with her surprising personal habit of using pants as a towel after her showers.
“I haven’t been doing laundry lately. Partly because I can’t get to it and partly because I find pajamas the most comfortable,” she admitted that she even wore them out recently.
Ano further confessed, “Because I can’t do laundry (for various reasons), I’m running out of bath towels,” revealing her shortage of towels for after her showers. She shocked the cast by admitting that it had become routine for her to use her pants as a towel after her baths.
When the host asked if she owned a washing machine, Ano replied, “I do have a washing machine—a very modern one at that. But I don’t know how to use it… There are so many buttons. Different ‘modes’ and all, I don’t even know the difference between detergent and fabric softener.” She added, “So when I’ve really run out of bath towels, I wipe myself down with tissues, and when I run out of those, I use my pants.”
Upon hearing her words, comedian duo Cream Stew’s member Teppei Arita asked, “What if you run out of pants?” To which Ano cheerfully responded, “I’ve never run out of pants. I love pants so much, my closet is always full of them,” causing a wave of laughter on the set.
Ano debuted as a member of the idol group You’ll Melt More! in 2013 and has been active as a vocalist and guitarist for the band I’s since leaving the group in 2020.
