A wallet found on the streets of Taiwan has been identified as belonging to actor Lan Cheng Lung (aka Blue Lan) (45), sparking widespread interest.
Foreign media outlet ETtoday reported on March 25 that a passerby had found a celebrity’s wallet on the streets of Taiwan and shared a picture of the wallet online.
To reunite a lost wallet with its owner, the person posted a picture of the ID card on an online community forum. The post, along with a message stating they had turned the wallet in at the Xinbei City police station, included a blurred-out image of the health insurance card. Despite the obscured details, the unique last name and a partially visible photo were enough for many viewers to recognize the wallet’s owner as famous actor Blue Lan.
Lan posted a thank-you message on his Facebook page after reclaiming his wallet and a screenshot from the online community. He wrote, “Thank you. I found my wallet thanks to the passionate users of the online community.”
The Xinbei City police said, “Lan came by to pick up his wallet 30 minutes after it was reported.”
The person who reported the wallet to the police said, “I’m glad the wallet was found,” and added, “He must have been shocked to lose his wallet.”
Lan has been a familiar face in various Taiwanese films and dramas since his debut in 1999. He’s also shown his outstanding singing ability by appearing in musicals, demonstrating his versatility.
Lan married actress Jade Chou in 2014 but divorced last year. The couple has two children together.
