Keisuke, a member of the five-man YouTube group Manar Beat, confessed that he became so addicted to sushi that he ended up visiting the hospital.
On March 23, Manar Beat shared a video titled “I Got a Very Rare Disease.” In the video, Keisuke admitted, “I felt I caught something while filming.” He recalled getting hooked on sushi after filming a mukbang video at a revolving sushi bar, which was released on March 15.
Keisuke confessed he ate 27 plates and said, “I became unable to eat anything but sushi. I fell into a sushi addiction.” He revealed that he ate sushi nine times a week after filming.
Keisuke revealed a surprising condition after visiting the hospital at his members’ recommendation. He explained it wasn’t simply overeating but an intense craving similar to an addiction. Doctors diagnosed him with a condition akin to gambling addiction but focused on food. They advised him to eliminate the desire for sushi, a diagnosis Keisuke found particularly challenging. Adding to the unusual nature of his case, the doctor admitted it was the first of its kind they had encountered.
Viewers reacted to Keisuke’s sushi addiction, commenting, “The doctor must have been surprised to hear the story.” “I was worried when I first saw it, but I’m glad it’s not a disease.” and “I want to eat sushi even if I get addicted.”
On March 26, Keisuke posted a picture of two pieces of sushi on Instagram Stories with the caption “Purchase complete.”
Manar Beat has 280,000 subscribers, and Keisuke recently posted travel videos of his visit to Korea last October.
